It’s that time of year again, Hawks! Spring Week is finally here!
With a stacked line up of events, the Campus Entertainment Network (CEN) Co-Chair, Mandi Greenhalgh is very excited to see students out and about: “I hope that students have a lot of fun at all of our events during Spring Week! I want students to enjoy themselves and get a chance before finals start.”
Spring Week is a time honored tradition at RWU with the staple Spring Concert, Spring Comedian, and Quadfest as the major traditions seen every year during Spring Week. These events are some of the biggest events of the year, Greenhalgh said.
This year’s Spring Week theme is Hawks Just Wanna Have Fun with disco themed events throughout the week. On April 20, join CEN for Disglow Pals where students can make glow in the dark Plexi Pets! Greenhalgh said the inspiration for Disglow Pals came from the current CEN Arts & Culture Chair, Camryn Cabral who saw the vendor at the National Association of CAmpus Activities (NACA) Conference and it complimented the Disco Derby idea brought by Where’s the Fun? Chair Logan Sedlock.
CEN also decided to add an outing to a Rhode Island Football Club match with the rise of soccer popularity in the US. The soccer game will take place at Centerville Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on Wednesday, April 22.
“The most exciting thing for me to plan was Lights, Beats, and Cleats. I think this event is going to be really fun for students and I’m excited to get to watch a professional soccer game live!” Greenhalgh said.
The latter half of Spring Week will be filled with the traditional events. The 2026 Spring Concert will be on Thursday, April 23, featuring Fitz and the Tantrums. The Spring Comedian will feature a comedy set by Troy Bond will be on Friday, April 24. The Spring Carnival will close out Spring Week on Saturday, April 25 with carnival rides and food trucks in Lot D and fireworks on the GHH Lawn at 7 p.m.
