The Hawks’ Herald took home two second-place awards at the College Media Association’s Apple Awards, which were announced at the CMA’s Spring National College Media Convention in New York City earlier this month.
The paper earned second place in the Division II Best Crisis Coverage category for its reporting on the RWU furloughs, a package that included print coverage, video, and photography by Ryan Robertson ’28, Brianna Frissora ’27, and Sage Shuster-Wright ’27. The Hawks’ Herald also placed second in Division II Best Magazine Cover for the Spring 2025 issue of The Hawks’ Eye Magazine, designed by Shuster-Wright and Mason Fontaine. Division II includes four-year institutions with enrollments between 3,000 and 9,999 students.
