RWU fans get rowdy

RWU fans + CCC Championship games = ear-ringing noise levels. Floating heads, screaming fans, and excited parents packed the stands at the women’s soccer game on Saturday, Nov. 4. The lady Hawks went on to defeat Gordon College 1-0 in the CCC Championship game, and RWU students showed up in huge numbers to give their support. And it didn’t stop there — as soon as the women’s soccer team won, the pack of lively students took their energy to the gym, where women’s volleyball was set to take on Endicott in their own CCC Championship game. The women’s team lost 3-2, but fought hard the entire way through with their fan club cheering non-stop at their side.

The students were loud and proud no matter what, chanting and singing during both games. Many student athlete teams, including members from men’s basketball, rugby, hockey, and more attended the games, screaming their heads off for the Hawks.

Vincent Neubert, a sophomore on the men’s rugby team, shared why he loves being an RWU fan.

“Everyone’s so rowdy and hyped up,” Neubert said. “It’s just great to see good teams go at it and have a great time.”
