Women’s basketball sweeps victory over rival Curry College

The Hawk’s Women’s Basketball were victorious after a two-game losing streak with a win over Commonwealth Coast Conference rival Curry College, on Saturday, January 27. The key in their win was immediately taking control of the game by finishing the first half of the game with a lead of 41-15. The top scorers of the game were Sophomore Sophia Coppola with 18 points, Freshman Meg Qualey with 15 points, and Junior Elizabeth Dufrane with 11 points. 

Since then, the Hawks beat both University of Hartford and Gordon College. Their next game is against University of New England on February 10, and their next home game will be against Wentworth Institute of Technology at 5:30 on February 14. The team’s current record is 14-7 and they are ranked first in the CCC.
