RWU’s Men’s Ice Hockey team is knocking on the door of postseason contention in just its first season as an official NCAA sport. As of Feb. 10, 2026, the Hawks sit at the seventh seed with an overall record of 6-14-1 and a conference record of 4-11-1 according to the CNE website. The Hawks would need to climb up to the sixth seed to clinch a playoff berth, which is currently held by Johnson & Wales University (4-10-1 conference, 6-12-2 overall). Two of the last four remaining games for the Hawks will come against the Wildcats. The regular season concludes in Wentworth on Saturday, February 21st at 4pm, according to the RWU athletics website. The CNE playoffs first round begins on Wednesday, February 25th.
Men’s Basketball
With just a few games remaining, RWU Men’s Basketball has a chance to make the playoffs for their 16th consecutive season. The Hawks sit at the fourth seed with a 7-5 conference record, and 11-10 overall. As of Feb. 10th, 2026, the Hawks are three games behind two seeded Western New England (10-2 conference) who currently holds a first-round bye for the playoffs. The Hawks finish the regular season at Endicott on Saturday, February 21st at 3pm. If the standings hold, the Hawks will host the 5th seed in the first round as the playoffs tip off Tuesday, February 24th.
Women’s Basketball
With just a few games remaining, RWU Women’s Basketball has clinched playoff berth for the 17th consecutive season. As of Feb. 10th, 2026, The Hawks are 8-4 in conference play and 12-9 overall and remain in contention for a potential first round bye. Seeds two through six in the CNE are within just two games as University of New England holds the two seed with a conference record of 10-2. The Hawks will wrap up their regular season at Endicott on Saturday, February 21st at 1pm. The CNE first round begins on Tuesday, February 24th.
