The women’s volleyball team took to the court Tuesday and showed Eastern Connecticut State they’re not rolling over with a sweeping 3-0 win. The team put on a big offensive with sophomore right side Jillian Smith racking up a solid 11 kills, sophomore outside Brianna Picchietti with 7 kills and middle hitter sophomore Lily Winsten following close behind with 6 kills. Freshman Libero Marianna Hernandez led the teams defense with 26 digs, only adding to her incredible season debut. The team couldn’t have gotten this win without Setter Ava Mattiucci’s 26 assists.
