The Office of Commuter Life recently announced, via Instagram, the launch of the new commuter lounge with a series of special events. From Monday, April 14th, to Thursday, April 17th, they are hosting a variety of activities to celebrate Commuter Appreciation Week. This initiative aims to create opportunities for commuter students to feel included and appreciated on campus.
All events will take place in the new commuter lounge location, across from Lower Commons. The week begins on Monday from 12 to 2 PM with a celebration of commuter pride, featuring snacks, board games, and fun activities. On Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM, there will be a grand opening for the new commuter lounge. This event will include free food and surprise special guests. On Wednesday, students can participate in mindfulness and reconnection activities by making DIY stress balls while enjoying snacks. To wrap up Commuter Appreciation Week, the commuter lounge will host a commuter café on Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM, offering coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and bracelet-making.
Not a commuter? No problem! Everyone is welcome to join these events and learn more about commuter life and the new Office of Commuter Life.
