The Roger statue encourages everyone to go enjoy the warmer weather

Hey there Hawks,

Finally, some warm weather! We have certainly had some sunny spring days since the last time you heard from me, and after the sub-zero nights we have experienced, it has certainly been a pleasant surprise.

As hard as it may be to believe, spring break is just around the corner, and I am sure you have all been daydreaming about what fun activities you want to do (probably during class, but do not fear, I will not tell your professors).

Valentine’s Day has come and gone, and for me, I do not really see the point, but maybe that is because I have a heart of stone (pun intended). Chocolates, flowers, cards; not exactly a holiday made for a statue. Even still, it is always nice to see happy couples showering each other with gifts. For those of you who are single, do not get too down on yourself. You think being alone on Valentine’s Day is rough? Try being molded to a piece of marble for as long as I have. And after all, you are never truly alone; Valentine’s Day is also to let friends and family know how much they mean to you. Call your parents. Tell them you love them. It means so much more than you know.

Anyway, as the weather starts getting better, do yourself a favor and take advantage of it. Go throw a frisbee around behind GHH, take a leisurely stroll down by the shell path or even get some homework done in D’Angelo Commons. I would certainly appreciate the company. Whatever it may be, this has been a particularly harsh winter, so when you get the opportunity to spend some time in the warm, bright sun, do not pass up on it.

Until next time,

Roger
