Does age matter?

Our early twenties can be a scary and confusing time in our lives. At this age, some of our friends are getting married and having babies, some of them are starting their first real job and some of them can’t figure out how to turn the oven on.

Since all of us are still in college, we have to focus on coursework while also figuring out how to not end up alone. But don’t worry, we all have plenty of time to find “the one.” That being said, some of you might resort to broadening your options. All of your life, up until this point, you may have had a “type,” but now is the time to explore different people… and different ages.

I asked all of you on my Instagram how much older you would go. I will be the first one to admit that it is kind of difficult to picture having a partner way out of college, who is in the midst of a career with their life together. Meanwhile, I’m over here almost burning down the apartment trying to microwave dinosaur nuggets.

However, some of you could see yourself with an older lover. Many of the answers I received said that people would consider a partner who is a few years older, in their mid-twenties. Someone said they would consider dating someone who is in their thirties, and surprisingly, someone else said double their age. By the looks of these results, chances are getting slimmer for you to find someone here Hawks!

I’m only kidding.

It is all a matter of opinion and what you like. There is no right or wrong answer for how much of an age difference there should be between you and your partner. Love is love folks. As they say, love knows no age ( I don’t know who “they” is, but they do say it). Until next time…
