Field Hockey vs Western New England, Saturday, October 25th 1:00pm
RWU’s field hockey team has dominated the Golden Bears in all four of their last matchups, including two CNE playoff games. The Hawks with a win in their final CNE matchup of the season would have a chance to lock in the second seed in their conference. Senior Forward Chelsea king leads the way in scoring by a large margin as she has scored 21 goals this season as of October 21st, according to the RWU athletics website. The Hawks will finish their season at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Wednesday, October 29th at 5:00pm.
Men’s Ice Hockey vs UMass Dartmouth, Friday, October 31st, 7:00pm
The Hawks will hit the ice for their Inaugural game at home, located at Driscoll arena in Fall River, Massachusetts. RWU does still have an ongoing club hockey league, but the newly implemented varsity sport will soon be at play starting with a non-conference matchup at Albertus Magnus on Saturday, October 25th, at 4:00pm. The Hawks’ first official conference game will be played at home against Suffolk; this matchup will be Friday, November 7th, at 5:00pm.
Men’s Soccer vs Wentworth, Tuesday, October 28th, 4:00pm
The Hawks are heading towards the finish line of the regular season with hopes to secure home field for the playoffs. The CNE championship had featured the Hawks the last two years now with a chance for a third championship appearance in three straight years. As of October 21st, the Hawks have only lost one game on the season and will face off against their final conference opponent at Bayside Field. The Hawks have won the last five matchups against Wentworth and are 28-16 against them all-time.
Women’s Soccer vs Wentworth, Tuesday, October 28th, 7:00pm
RWU’s women’s soccer team will play their final game under the lights with playoffs right around the corner. The Hawks have been in control at home against Wentworth, winning 13 games and only losing one. The Hawks have scored 32 total goals and only given up 11 from their opponents during the regular season. CNE playoffs are expected to start on November 1st.
