The Multicultural Student Union is an organization on campus that promotes social justice and diversity.
Throughout the year, MSU programs events such as #StayWoke Week, Holi Day, and the six-mile privilege walk, to name a few.
The organization meets every Monday at 5:00 p.m. to work together to focus on identity and fighting stereotypes. Their goal is to provide inclusion for everyone.
When asked about diversity on campus, president Kat Vicente admitted that RWU is not the most diverse campus, but MSU works to make the campus a better place for students from different backgrounds.
MSU not only supports students on campus, but also educates those who are willing to learn and want to know what it’s like to be an activist.
MSU hosted a dinner for campus clubs and organizations on Wednesday, Sept. 13, where they announced that they will hold a Unity on Sept. 23, and Indigenous Peoples Day Event on Oct. 11, and Social Justice Week (and a half) from Oct. 9-Oct. 18.
