Portside Tavern Restaurant Review

If you are tired of going to the same local restaurants, then Portside Tavern, Bristol’s brand new restaurant, is the place to go! Located in the historic East Bay of Bristol at 444 Thames St., it is easy to find and has a beautiful view of the waterfront. With very reasonable prices, it is the perfect restaurant for date night, a family dinner or a casual night out with close friends.

In terms of dining, you can eat outside on the elegant front patio, in the main dining room or by the bar. The restaurant has wooden decor with black accents to give it a cozy yet modern feel. In addition to the rustic decor, there are skylights in the dining area which brighten tables nicely. Along with the great decor is a friendly staff. They are very easy to talk to and really seem to enjoy making your dining experience a pleasant one.

The warm and inviting atmosphere is not all the Portside Tavern has to offer. The menu ranges from sandwiches and burgers to seafood and hearty entrees. If you’re looking for a good appetizer to split between two people, the cheese plate is a must-have. For just $20, you get to try three delicious cheeses, two Italian meats, fresh fruits, mango chutney, house made IPA mustard, crackers and crostini. It is a good appetizer if you want to save room for one of the main entrees, or just a burger or sandwich. Burgers and sandwiches range from $11 to $14 and have diverse options that would suit a variety of taste buds. For those of you who are of drinking age, they have a great selection of beers on tap that are only $6 for 20 ounces.

Portside Tavern officially opened on March 16 of this year, but its grand opening was just two days ago on April 23. So, if you are looking to have a delicious dinner or just a drink at the bar, Portside Tavern is the perfect choice!
