Upcoming events related to Title IX awareness
These are the corrected dates for the events.
April 23: There is a Public Service Announcement Screening in CAS 157 at 7 p.m.
April 26: There will be a green dot hydration station at the spring concert in a co-sponsored event with the HAWE’s.
April 29: Join the Title IX team for a Sexual Assault Awareness Month panel. This event is co-sponsored with the Women’s Collective and will be held in the appellate court room in the Law School at 6:30 p.m. Five professional panelists from various institutions — including RICADV, RWU, Plymouth County Domestic violence unit — will be answering questions about gender stereotypes in the violence prevention field.
May 1: “Walk a Mile.” This is an annual violence prevention march and vigil at 2:30 p.m. in front of University Library. The event is meant to raise awareness for violence prevention by encouraging people to “walk a mile” in someone else’s shoes. Participants often wear shoes that represent in some way who they are walking/participating for. All donations will be given to the Rhode Island Crisis Assistance Center.
