Meet the Editors

 Jacquelyn Voghel – Editor-in-Chief

Jacquelyn is a senior English Literature and International Relations double major. Other than writing, she also enjoys traveling, reading, art, live music, and spending time with her dog, Nellie. After graduation, she hopes to combine her love of writing with her interest in politics as a writer or editor.

Kayla Ebner – Managing Editor

Kayla is a junior Journalism major who loves photography. She is part of Hawkward, one of the a capella groups on campus. She enjoys listening to music and going to the gym for a good lift. After graduation, she plans on pursuing a career in broadcast journalism or photojournalism.

Anya Dussault – News Editor

Anya is a senior International Relations and Anthropology/Sociology double major with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. When she’s not hanging out with her cats (or other people’s cats), she’s most likely to be found binge-watching “Grey’s Anatomy,” dreaming of post-grad travels abroad, or online shopping.

Andrew Wuebker – Sports Editor

Andrew is a senior Journalism major that has a passion for all things sports. He is interested in the research and production sides of the media. One day he hopes to launch a career as a national sports writer or broadcaster but is also open to the possibility of doing public relations or marketing work within the sports realm. He is entering his second year on the editorial staff and hopes to make a significant impact on the coverage of Roger Williams University sports.

Britney Dixon – Sports Manager

Britney is a sophomore Journalism major with minors in Graphic Design and Music. Outside of class, you can find her in the university instrumental ensemble, chorus, chamber singers, or throwing javelin for the women’s track and field team. After graduation, she hopes to stay in New England and write for MLB.

April Federico – Features Editor

April is a Creative Writing and Spanish double major with a minor in English Literature. She is a sophomore transfer student from Saint Anselm College. Other than writing, she enjoys reading, yoga, traveling, shopping, playing with her dogs, and is unapologetically addicted to Starbucks coffee! In the future, she hopes to become an editor for Vanity Fair or Teen Vogue or be an asset to a publishing firm.

Sammy Croteau – Arts & Culture Editor

Sammy is a sophomore Journalism major and loves what creative writing has to offer. Fashion and photography are two of her passions. In the future she hopes to combine her writing skills and love for style into a career as a fashion editor. Sammy also enjoys going to the beach, cooking, and listening to new music.

Kyle Gravel – Opinions Editor

A  junior Writing major at Roger Williams University, Kyle is a passionate person when it comes to politics, writing, and photography. With an intended minor in History and Film, he plans to use all of his studies together to influence those curious in such fields. When writing his editorials, he hopes to inspire thought and ideas while supporting counter-thought and information. He also believes satire within news is the easiest way to deal with issues of current affairs, while laughing at problems tends to be a justifiable way to reduce tension.

Trey Powers – Photo Editor

Trey is a junior Psychology major and Educational Studies minor with a Core Concentration in American Studies. He enjoys photography, fencing, reading, and playing with his cats at home in his free time. This is his second semester on the editorial staff. After graduation, he hopes to attend graduate school and earn a Ph.D. in Psychology and eventually become a therapist for adolescents and adults.

Want to join the staff? We’re looking for managers for Features, Arts & Culture, Opinions, and Photos.
